The camera’s versatile mounting options—including wall, ceiling, and magnet mounts—provide durable and flexible positioning across a variety of surfaces.

Built with IP65 weather resistance, the CC400W remains reliable even in harsh conditions, whether facing dusty winds or heavy rain. Two-way audio enables real-time communication, allowing users to deter potential threats or provide immediate on-site instructions without delay.

Thanks to its High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology, the camera captures clear and detailed images in both dark and bright areas, effectively handling challenging lighting conditions. A high-power infrared LED ensures superior night vision, providing clear imagery up to 10 metres away. Additionally, smart bitrate control optimises bandwidth and storage use while maintaining excellent image quality.

Video Intelligence
The CC400W leverages advanced camera-based AI capabilities to elevate your surveillance system with intelligent analytics. Its People and Vehicle Detection feature accurately distinguishes between humans, vehicles, and other moving objects, reducing false alarms.

Intrusion Detection can alert users when people or vehicles cross a designated virtual boundary from a specified direction, enhancing perimeter security. With Instant Search, users can swiftly and accurately locate recorded activities involving people, vehicles, or general motion within a targeted area. The Auto Tracking function smoothly identifies and follows moving people, keeping them centred on screen without the need for manual adjustments.

Additionally, the built-in QR Code Reader improves operational workflows and enhances access control security. The camera also supports direct People and Vehicle Counting, allowing for occupancy monitoring through aggregated entry and exit counts, with automatic alerts when capacity limits are reached. For more advanced features such as Face Recognition, Licence Plate Recognition, and enhanced People Counting, the camera can be paired with Synology’s DVA models (sold separately, see accessories tab).
Streamlining and Integration

Integration with Synology’s Surveillance Station* software makes deployment and maintenance of the CC400W straightforward and efficient. Users can easily add and manage cameras on their network through the DS Cam* mobile app, simplifying setup and ongoing monitoring. Notably, no Surveillance Device Licence purchase or activation is required, reducing setup costs and complexity.

The camera supports automatic firmware upgrades, which can be applied in batches, whether or not an internet connection is available. Additionally, the failover edge storage feature ensures continuous recording by automatically switching to microSD storage in the event of network failure or frame drops, preserving recording fidelity and system reliability.

Security and Privacy
From recording to archiving, the CC400W is equipped with robust safeguards to protect your footage. With HTTPS and SRTP support, the camera provides encrypted network and video transfers, ensuring authentication and integrity protection across your system. Privacy masks can be applied either permanently within recorded footage or dynamically during live viewing, effectively shielding sensitive areas from exposure. A connected device list displays all devices associated with each camera, allowing administrators to disconnect or block any unfamiliar devices, further bolstering system security.
